KayaFC and Kaya FC Academy host Carnival for a Cause, lace up for breast cancer

To help raise funds for and awareness of early breast cancer detection, UFL football club KayaFC and their youth football school Kaya FC Academy hosted Carnival for a Cause on October 12 at the Emperador Stadium in McKinley Hill, Bonifacio Global City.

Booths were set up all over the field to test football-related skills such as dribbling, speed, accuracy, juggling, velocity an others. Kaya 1st Team players manned the booths while the Academy kids, their friends and parents donated to participate in the carnival-type activities.

LBC Foundation sponsored children from Gawad Kalinga communities and Futkal Tondo. Bootcamp Football Shop sponsored aspiring football players from Nasugbu, Batangas. All proceeds from the event, held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, went to ICanServe Foundation Inc.

Generous friends who donated prizes were Nike, Shakey’s and Gratitude Granola. VMV Hypoallergenics gave sample products and gift certificates to 10 lucky Soccer Moms on the field that morning. Baskin Robbins Philippines gave free ice cream to everyone.

As part of their tradition, the players of KayaFC will be donning pink shoe laces during the month of October. Early breast cancer detection saves lives. Sport pink laces this October and help spread awareness. Use hashtag #LacingUpforBC and join KayaFC and ICanServe in saving lives and keeping families whole.
