ICANSERVE Foundation, Inc. is the newest non-government organization to benefit from GCash for Good.

GCash, operated by Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. (Mynt) recently introduced its corporate social responsibility arm, GCash for Good, to make GCash a socially relevant and sustainable platform that will help address issues affecting society.

Users can now use the GCash app to donate to various groups, including ICANSERVE Foundation, to create an impact on society. This allows GCash to be a more inclusive and open platform that will help create better opportunities for millions of Filipinos.

More donors now prefer to donate online, removing the hassle of long queues. GCash cites a study by Global Trends in Giving that found 54% of individuals prefer to donate online, while the total volume of donations made online grew by a strong 12.1% in 2017.

In addition, other research show a growing trend in micro-donations, or donations that range between $0.25 and $10. Although small, these donations make a hige difference once added up.

ICANSERVE president Nikoy de Guzman thanked Mynt for partnering with ICANSERVE Foundation to encourage donations for breast cancer awareness through GCash for Good.

“We have always strived to build a better financial ecosystem in the Philippines, and as a socially responsible corporate citizen, we want to leverage on our strength as a digital platform to help others create a better country…We want to create more opportunities to allow people to give to and give back to the communities,” Mynt president Anthony Thomas said.
