The Taguig City Ating Dibdibin Program under the City Health Office, in collaboration with ICanServe Foundation, held the turnover of Kamay Gabay kits at the 3rd floor of Taguig City Hall, on October 14.

The Kamay Gabay kits include myths and facts about breast cancer, signs and symptoms, the factors that might increase the risk of its development among women and a guide on how to do breast self-examination (BSE).

Dra. Norena Osano, City Health Office Head, and SK Federation Chair, Councilor Beng Maximo discussed a partnership with Taguigeño youth for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed every October. With these collaborations, the city government could continue raising awareness, as well as encourage the women of Taguig to place importance on their health especially in the midst of a pandemic.

The Taguig City Ating Dibdibin Program aims to promote BSE or Sariling Salat sa Suso (SSS) as a tool for early detection of breast cancer.

To donate or purchase Kamay Gabay kits for your community or chosen barangay, please contact Myrna at +63919 006 9445.
