“Staying strong and hopeful helped me get through my treatments.”

I was at my fittest during my diagnosis, but I didn’t realize until then that I could even be stronger mentally and emotionally as well. This combination made treatment go smoothly with the least side effects, and healing came much faster. I also managed to keep my life with my family as normal and as joyful as possible. I realized then that if I took care of my body, it would find healing with me and for me.

I start my day with a feeling of gratitude and appreciation for all that I have. I surround myself with people who have a positive impact on my life, I edit and delete the rest. I also only do things that bring me joy and I have stopped trying to please everybody, it just brings stress. No sweating the small stuff AND I still workout five times a week. Keeping healthy makes me happy.
